MAY is

Lyme Disease and Arthritis Awareness Month

Lyme disease affects more than 300,000 people every year in the United States. It is known as the silent epidemic, disabling thousands of people from working to their optimum capacity every year. Lyme disease affects the young and the old. Many are misdiagnosed and do not know that they have this condition. It is no longer the disease of the East Coast. It is now found on the West Coast of North America as well, yet most physicians are unaware.

Symptoms can vary from being chronically fatigued to having chronic sinusitis or chronic pain and arthritis, to experiencing brain fog, autoimmune disease or cancer. One study showed that five of six follicular lymphoma cancer patients actually had lyme disease mimicking follicular lymphoma and did not have follicular lymphoma. Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s (especially early onset), fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and hundreds of other chronic diseases often have hidden chronic lyme disease at its roots. Dr. Darvish has identified chronic lyme disease, also known as chronic multiple system infection syndrome, as one of the most common infections in patient fighting cancers including those with glioblastoma and other brain tumors as well as those fighting autoimmune disease.

Conventional therapies involve antibiotics but antibiotics only temporarily improve symptoms, driving infections deeper, only to resurge with vengeance with more difficult neurological symptoms years later. Furthermore, long-term antibiotics often create another set of chronic symptoms and disease processes their side-effect.

Dr. Darvish and her team at Holistique have over 22 years of research and experience in successfully treating chronic lyme disease without the use of conventional antibiotics. Instead, therapies that modulate the immune function and increase the body’s healing power to overcome these infections and associated dysfunction are employed. The goal is to optimize the well-being of the body to do the work that it needs to do in order to heal.

One of the ways to detect dysfunction of the body during lyme disease to have a regulation thermometry, full body thermography testing performed, involving non-invasive computerized temperature measurements of 100 points throughout the body. Certain signature patterns of temperature variation, tell us possible connections to heavy metals, dental infections, enzyme deficiency, hormonal imbalances, spinal misalignments, etc.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is proving to be a very affective way of optimizing oxygen into the cells, often helping the body fight off chronic and deeply seeded infections. At Holistique, we combine HBOT with other therapies to optimize nutrient and oxygen uptake of the cells to improve healing and tissue regeneration.
