Dr. Nina Paroo earned her pre-medical degree from Queen’s University in Ontario Canada, and her doctorate degree from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington in 2001. After receiving her medical degree, she completed an intensive residency in family medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon.  She believes that a high level of commitment to health is essential for achieving and maintaining optimal wellness. Often it is helpful to have a guide to uncover blocks that could be preventing you from improving your health.  Her hope in working with patients is to partner with them and help each person realize his or her physical, emotional, mental and spiritual potential.

Dr. Paroo treats adults with acute and chronic diseases, as well as focuses on disease prevention. She looks at symptoms as an indication of a greater health imbalance and works to discover and address the root cause of these symptoms to restore health. Her methods address factors that contribute to physical, emotional and chemical imbalances. She believes it is best to intervene in the most non-toxic and least invasive way, and puts a lot of emphasis on teaching patients how to incorporate a healthy diet and lifestyle habits to improve their health. She has successfully helped patients achieve their health goals by creating individualized programs using nutritional therapy, homeopathy, cellular detoxification, herbal medicine, and lifestyle management. She has special interests in complex chronic diseases, gastrointestinal conditions, auto-immune conditions, and hormonal imbalances.
